Drawing from his experience in the construction industry, our client wanted to create an effective marking tool specifically for the construction industry, replacing pens that are not made for trade use, getting damaged and binned frequently. 4 inserts for correct application on various surfaces.
The Process
We developed our client's initial concept into a refined design through to functional prototypes. A process which included engineering mechanism development, CAD models and DFM (design for manufacturing). Additionally, we assisted with commercialization strategy; business model, IP protection, marketing, supply management, pitch decks, fundraising and user testing.
The Results
A reliable marking tool that is durable, customisable to suit the user, easy to use with a variety of applications, and combines 4 pens into a single essential tool.
